  1. Talk show: Sexual Harassment in the Workplace & How to Prevent and Respond to It

The speaker: M.A – Doctor Lan Hai

Introduction:

On May 25, 2015, Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs announced the Code of conduct on sexual harassment at the workplace. This Code of Conduct is considered as a main source of reference and guidance on workplace behaviors for research, office, business and research schools to be applied. Moral people, even men, have to protect themselves in public so that they are not victims or at least do not accidentally violate the rules of communication. What they worry about is grounded: around the world, about 79% of sexual harassment victims are female, 21% are male. In our country, a recent survey in Nha Trang City shows that the rate of male students being harassed is 19.33%, higher than girls (16.86%) …

Purpose: Through talk show, we will discuss and better understand the following issues:

  1. How to distinguish friendly gestures or accidental touches with harassment behaviors in the workplace?
  2. Classify types of abuse
  3. Be aware of sexual harassment in the workplace? And what are non-sexual harassment at work?
  4. If unfortunately, “be sexual harassment”, what should we do?
